Tony Award winning actress Bernadette Peters will be honored with the 2024 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theater at the 32nd Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala.

The event will be held at The Edison Ballroom on Monday, Nov. 11, , and will also include the presenting of the 2024 York Founders’ Award to producer Ted Snowdon. A cocktail reception will begin at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and the performance and award presentation at 8 p.m.

Michael Urie (currently starring as Prince Dauntless in “Once Upon a Mattress” at the Hudson Theatre) will host the show, which will feature Broadway stars such as Alex Newell, Andrew Rannells, and Jelani Remy, among others.

Peters herself is an icon in both the theater industry and the entertainment industry more broadly. Her Broadway credits include Annie Oakley in “Annie Get Your Gun” — a role she won a Tony Award for playing — originating the role of The Witch in “Into the Woods,” and performing in the likes of “Sunday in the Park with George,” “On the Town,” “A Little Night Music” and many others.

Snowdon’s achievements include having co-produced two Tony-award-winning Best Musicals, “Spring Awakening,” and “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.” He has produced several other shows, including “The Elephant Man,” “The Visit,” and “Sweat.”

Tickets are available online, with different benefits at different donation amounts. For older audience members, the least expensive ticket is the Pearl ticket, but has a $1,000 donation requirement.

The GenYork and Pearl Tickets offer the same benefits, the only difference being the age requirement for GenYork. These benefits include one ticket to the cocktail reception, preferred seating for dinner and the presentation itself, and both Pearl sponsorship credit and a quarter-page ad in the gala’s journal.

Higher tiers are the Sapphire Ticket (minimum $1,500 donation), the Silver Table (minimum $10,000 donation), the Gold Table (minimum $15,000 donation), and the Diamond Table (minimum $25,000 donation).

Benefits for these higher tiers include varying numbers of cocktail reception tickets and, for some tiers, red carpet access, champagne for the table, premium seating (at some tiers), and more. Exclusive to the $25,000 Diamond Table attendees will be the opportunity to have an Oscar Hammerstein artist sit with them at their table.
