Stranger Attacks Bicyclist
A 32-year-old man told police that at midnight on Saturday, June 11, he was riding a bike to Times Square when he got into a verbal dispute with a strange man at the southwest corner of Eighth Ave. and West 28th St. The dispute became violent when the stranger punched the bicyclist in the arm, causing substantial pain. The stranger fled in a vehicle, and the victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Unprovoked Assault on Brazilian Visitor
According to police, at 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, a 34-year-old man from São Paulo, Brazil was heading back to the Pod Hotel, where he was staying, when an unknown man started yelling at him and punched him with a closed fist in his face, causing swelling and pain, on West 42nd St. between Ninth Ave. and Tenth Ave. The assault was unprovoked, and for some reason the Pod Hotel management advised the victim not to call 911.
Man Arrested after Punching Another
A 58-year-old man reported that at 2:10 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, he was engaged in a verbal dispute inside 15 Hudson Yards at Eleventh Ave. and West 30th St. with a strange 36-year-old man. The latter warned, “I’ll hit you!” and then punched the older man with a closed fist, causing a laceration, swelling and pain to the victim’s mouth and lips. An EMS team treated the victim on the scene, and Eran Silverberg was arrested and charged with assault.
Robber Threatens Walgreens Employee with Brick
A 21-year-old male employee of the Walgreens Pharmacy at 455 West 37th St. near Tenth Ave. told police that at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, two men entered the location, went down store aisles and took items of merchandise, which they put into bags. The employee told the suspects to leave the location, causing one of the men to take a brick from his bag, threatening, “If you come close to me, I’m gonna hit you with this brick!” The suspect then threw the brick to the floor, and both men left the location, fleeing southbound on Tenth Ave. Police searched the neighborhood but couldn’t find the suspects or the stolen merchandise, which included 13 cosmetic products totaling $536.

Police stated that at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, a 52-year-old man met a woman at the Noir NY nightclub at 357 West 16th St. and took her back to his apartment at 605 West 42nd St. near Eleventh Ave. Apparently, he went to sleep at some point and, when he woke up on his couch a few hours later, realized that the woman had left. He then discovered that his watch case had been opened, and four timepieces were missing. The stolen watches included pieces from SteVral, Rolex, Stauer and Rado, totaling $36,000.
