    Have You Seen This Chopper?
    A man reported to police that at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, he parked his gray 2020 Yamaha model MT-03 motorcycle with New York plates 7C4AA4 in front of 5 West 85th St. at Central Park West. When he returned at 4:30 a.m., he discovered the bike was missing. A search of the neighborhood proved fruitless. The stolen two-wheeler was valued at $6,000.

    Talbots Tale
    A 32-year-old female employee of the Talbots store at Broadway and West 83rd St. reported that at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, a man entered the location, took jeans and T-shirts and put them inside a garbage bag. He then left the location without paying for the items. Police searched the area but couldn’t find the suspect or the stolen merchandise. The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Broadway on foot. The stolen items included 18 pairs of jeans and 22 tops, totaling $2,400.

    Facebook Scam
    A man told police he was a victim of a Facebook scam earlier this month. While at work Monday, Aug. 16 at West 78th Street, the reported victim received a message from a Facebook friend, a woman named “Dimma Ihezvo.” Ihezvo asked the man to send $2,000 to free his brother, who she said was being held at the border. The victim complied and went to the Chase Bank located at Broadway and West 79th St. and made a wire transfer. The next day the victim was asked for an additional $5,750, and he again wired the money. Later the man discovered that the story about his brother was a scam, and he was out $7,750.

    Citi Bike Stolen
    A woman reported that her rented Citi Bike, which she picked up on 87th Street, was stolen while shopping at the Trader Joe’s on Broadway Wednesday, Aug. 11. The woman told police she parked the bike around 6:50 pm. and had been shopping for 10 minutes when it was taken. The alleged thief continued to ride the bike without docking it, which results in additional fees to the victim. Each Citi Bike is valued at $1,200.

    Oh, MOTHER
    A female employee of the Intermix location at Columbus Ave. and West 70th Street told police that at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 8, a man entered the location and removed items of merchandise from the front table. He then left the store without paying for the items and was last seen fleeing northbound on Columbus. The items stolen included four pairs of MOTHER denim jeans and a sweater, totaling $1,278.
