Teenage Girl Wanted For Attacking Senior Citizen in Chelsea

The unidentified teen allegedly attacked a 79 year-old woman at 300 W. 17 St. after a verbal dispute, pummeling her in the head and face. Cops are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect.

An unidentified teenage girl attacked a 79-year-old woman in Chelsea after a verbal dispute on Jan. 6, police say, and the suspect is wanted for assault.

The assault happened at 300 W. 17th St. at around 11:50 a.m., cops said. The young girl allegedly punched the senior citizen multiple times in the face and head, before fleeing on foot westbound down W. 17th St. The older woman was walking her dog when the argument broke out, and she was treated for bruising on-scene by EMS.

The suspect being sought was seen wearing a black puffer jacket with a fur hood and red shoes, surveillance footage publicly released by the authorities shows.
